The bottle says: "...REMOVE PRODUCT RESIDUE - PRESERVE MOISTURE...Co-washing is the way to cleanse your hair most of the time. It gently removes residue including all of the things you've used to style and maintain your coils and curls...This light creamy conditioning lotion spreads easily throughout to cleanse your hair and scalp. Detangling is wonderfully easy and rinsing is too...This cowash is different from any other because it contains a special blend of natural ingredients including saw palmetto and phytosterols that help promote healthy hair growth from the follicular level. Very economical..."

I Say: This product WAS a good price, $8 from where I purchased it. I expect to be using it for some time. This was my first time using it and it looks like I didn't even touch it yet. It really was light, creamy & easy to spread throughout my hair. I wouldn't say that detangling was wonderfully easy (Hello Hydration I think is better). I had a few rough spots detangling, but for the most part it did the job well. The future will tell more. For now, here are some pics of my co-wash process I used for this product.
